Designed around three trajectories: East to west. From the field recordings of Dead Horse Bay in Brooklyn to the Pacific ocean. (2) Hearth to Land - as we shift from sirens, helicopters, and humanity to geological recordings of Castleton Tower (Utah) where the land literally has a pulse, and a quadraphonic recording of spring in the Hudson Valley. Finally (3) from Reckoning to Possibility as the sounds of last summer's protest marches yield to a three-dimensional mix of 50 independent recordings of the same minute of celebration for essential workers across New York City (May 1, 2020 7PM) and to voices of commitment, courage, and hope. Throughout we are accompanied by a single poem, Richard Blanco's America The Beautiful Again.
